Canal at Night

I steadied the camera and left the shutter open for two seconds. That is long enough for the traffic on the far bank to turn into thin red lines, and short enough for the reflections in the canal to keep their colours.

Chiang Mai slows down after dark but never really stops. From the water’s edge, the city looks calmer than it sounds.
