Wat Arun

I photographed Wat Arun from across the Chao Phraya after dark, when the central prang is lit and searchlights reach up behind it. The temple fills the frame, and the river doubles it in gold.

A small boat crosses the reflection at the bottom of the picture. Without it the frame is only a monument; with it, the river is still working at night.
